Nouns

Are words that indicate a person, place, or thing. In a sentence, nouns can function as the subject or the object of a verb. Nouns can also follow linking verbs to rename or re-identify the subject of a sentence or clause.

Function of the noun: The most important word in the noun phrase(sintagma nominal) . Normally, it functions as subject or the complemento directo (direct object): Juan come manzanas (Juan eats apples), el niño tiene un perro (the boy has a dog).
Nouns calls to people, objects or abstract meanings.

-       noun as direct object:
      Mi automóvil está descompuesto.
-       noun as object of a preposition
      Luis, el esposo de Carmen, es mi mejor amigo.
-       noun as indirect object :

      Celebramos la victoria de nuestro equipo en el torneo
